"A Taste of Twisted Traditional Toe-Tapping Tunes," The Jugtown Pirates of Lake Champlain are bringing people together with their unique blend of music, art, and theatrical performance. The Burlington VT based jug band thats right jug band started in the streets and hills of Vermont, honing their skills in the summer of 2004 with a self produced tour of New England's street corners and bars.

The Jugtown Pirates use homegrown instruments such as the washboard, jug, guitar, washtub bass, mandolin, kazoo, and whatever else might be lyin' around! By the summer of 2005 The Jugtown Pirates were playing locally, regionally and the mid-west. Playing traditional jug band tunes, old and new standards, hip-hop covers and inspiring originals always keeps their fans (Jug Addicts) guessing. Recently they have plundered Boston's Paradise Club, Manhattan's Coda Club and Burlington's Higher Ground Ballroom. Tearing up the stage with national acts like Hot Buttered Rum String Band, Tea Leaf Green, Addison Groove Project, Grace Potter, and The Philadelphia Jug Band.

The Jugtown Pirates of Lake Champlain are quickly making a name for themselves with a growing fan base, relentless street team promotion, hand made merchandise and a revolutionary message of love in a two-step. Don't miss April 22 Earth Day at Higher Ground Ballroom Masquerade 2 The Spring Awakening featuring Seth Yacovone and the Vistiors, The Jugtown Pirates with special guests, art from the BeeHive Collective and visuals from The Waking Dream and Jeh Kulu.
