We know, we know...there isn't a single piece of writing that's so tedious and filled with hollow clichés, shameless ego stroking and thinly veiled sales pitches as the dreaded band biography. In our case, lots of texts about the D.T. history from various stages of our 18-year old career can be found on the web, and even the official ones, penned by the record labels or ourselves, usually contain factual errors, half-truths and inaccuracies that didn't seem to matter much at the time.
Eventually we'll find the time to write an über extensive band bio that will make even the most ardent trivia geek salivate with glee. In the meantime, we let the music do the talking and recommend a quick session with Google or Wikipedia.
Another suggestion would be to purchase the "Exposures: In retrospect and denial" CD, which contains a lengthy essay about the band by noted music journalist Christopher Dick.

Greece’s FIREWIND belong to the most impressing and hard-working melodic metal bands of our time and their brand-new album “The Premonition” is sure to reinforce the band’s unstoppable rise to the worldwide top within their scene. Accompanied by flawless media and fan reactions, the band’s 2006 album masterpiece and 4th album all-together, “Allegiance”, could be seen as their break-through release: “Allegiance” managed to enter official sales charts in Japan as well as peaking at 10 in the band’s home-country Greece, remaining in the charts for a solid 9 weeks, while the album’s two singles “Falling To Pieces” and “Breaking The Silence” climbed up to positions 11 and 16 respectively in Greece.
The band’s incessant string of touring for “Allegiance” all over Europe, North America and Japan alongside bands such as Dragonforce, Angra, All That Remains, Kamelot or Sonata Arctica, has not only lead to add worldwide profile and an excellent reputation as class live-act to FIREWIND but also added significant power to the band’s songwriting skills and will to continue conquering new horizons.

Portugal Towers was formed in late 2003 when one time Daylight Dies guitarist Franky Andreas met up with good friend Adam Richardson in central Vermont. Adam and Franky both played guitar in full time bands, and they had developed similar taste in music. Franky showed Adam some riffs and together they started working out arrangements. Eventually, they solicited the help of comrades Ben Glassman and Seth Gundersen to take on the responsibilities of bass and drums, respectively. Heavily influenced by 70's prog, instrumental indie rock and scandinavian death metal, Portugal Towers cut their teeth by composing over an hour's worth of material for what was to be their debut album, "Eight Stories". The focus of this material was compiling thematic and relevant music, while avoiding the over specialization that leads to sub-genre status. Portugal Towers disbanded in December of 2006, with all it's members sorely in need of a break. They once again take the Vermont stage offering an authentic, subtle submission to the canon of extreme metal.
