311 was formed in 1988 in Omaha Nebraska by self-described "friends for life" as a rock/reggae band whose common link was music and life. Their passions eventually brought them together to create music with a positive message behind it. The band has currently released eight studio albums and three independently released albums over the past fifteen years. Citing The Clash and Led Zeppelin as their main influences, 311 creates a hybrid of rock, reggae, funk, metal, and hip-hop with their music.
Southern California's Slightly Stoopid cemented a signature sound by fusing acoustic rock and blues with reggae, hip-hop, and punk, creating a legion of die-hard fans in the process. Coasting into their second decade of rock 'n' roll, the band has exceeded 250,000 in CD sales via their own record label, Stoopid Records, and they regularly sellout top concert venues across the United States and overseas.
