ALL AGES
FREE!
Over the last two months, Red Bull Claim It! has asked snowboarders in the Burlington area to check out selected rails and city features around the Queen City on www.myspace.com/redbullclaimitvt, and Claim those spots by stomping tricks on them, filming it, and submitting the footage online to be judged by their peers. After the judging has finished in the first week of April, the rider who landed the best trick at each location will win an LE Forum snowboard, made just for Red Bull Claim It!
In order to announce the winners, Red Bull is throwing a FREE, ALL AGES show at Higher Ground in Burlington, Vermont featuring Team Facelift, the Neighborhood, DJ Killa Jewel and DJ ZJ.
Team Facelift is a New York-bred rap group consisting of three rappers: Machine, Fat Jew, and Fonda (aka Ginger Ale), and one producer, Tommy Mas. They are described as a cross between Wu Tang Clan and Barbara Streisand--blending glam-rock elements into their hip hop sound and finishing it off with lyrics ranging from love to chicken and a stage presence that will mesmerize both the ladies and gents in the audience
DJ ZJ is a Burlington based DJ who runs The Lab DJ school in downtown Burlington and along with being a killer DJ, is constantly working to grow the music scene in northern Vermont.
DJ Killa-Jewel is a Montreal-based battle DJ/turntablist, a strong battle DJ, and also plays classical piano, produces and scores music for movies and theatre.
Holding down the east coast crisp and crunch with a dash of west coast chill, Neighborhood will grab your ear, pull you to your feet, and have you moving the second they hit the stage. Before they're done you might catch your reflection in the smooth sheen of chitown soul and maybe get buck to a touch of down south dirty.
