104.7 The Point and Long Trail welcome
The band's song "More Time" was featured in the soundtrack of the 2007 film P.S. I Love You, and numerous Needtobreathe songs have been used on television coverage and for movies. ESPN used the song "Streets of Gold" from The Heat during the network's coverage of the 2007 Ford 400. The show "The Hills" used "We Could Run Away". Fox TV promoted its Monday night lineup for the shows Prison Break and K-ville with the song "Nothing Left to Lose". Fox Sports used "Don't Wait for Daylight" during their coverage of the 2006 World Series. The song "Shine On" has seen the most uses. The MTV show "Newport Harbor" used the song, as well as the movie Employee of the Month.
Despite being hailed as 'supergroup' sounding like 'The Who on steroids with an Afro-Latin twist' (The Boston Phoenix), TOWNSHIP took the stage at the 2007 29th Annual WBCN Rock n' Roll Rumble as virtually unknown. After sweeping the competition in all 3 rounds, the secret soon revealed itself that the band contained both Vermont native and Cancer Conspiracy drummer, Greg Beadle and Boston's Runner and the Thermodynamics frontman, Marc Pinansky. In just a year and a half, Township has been featured in internationally released commercials and videos, and shared stages with anywhere from Incubus and Perry Ferrel, to the Fiery Furnaces and Richard Lloyd of Television. With two EP's under their belt and a full length due in November, these classic rock worshiping guys don't just live the music, they are the music.
