Join us in the Ballroom Thursday, April 13 as we celebrate Higher Ground’s 25th anniversary!
Picture this, it’s April, 1998. Winooski, VT. Higher Ground opens its doors for the first time. To help launch the club, Trey Anastasio assembles his first solo project apart from Phish to perform new, original music under the name “8 Foot Fluorescent Tubes”. The now-legendary show sells out, hi-jinx ensued, and music was made – including compositions still played today in Phish and what would eventually become the Trey Anastasio Band.
In the spirit of the historic evening, Higher Ground presents “4 Foot Phosphorescent Cubes” to celebrate its 25th anniversary. Fans can expect two sets of new, original, music written and arranged by guitarist Bob Wagner and a handful of collaborators both human and non-human.
The evening will feature an opening set from Soule Monde, comprised of original 8 Foot Fluorescent Tube member Russ Lawton (drums) and Ray Paczkowski (keys) – both of the current-day Trey Anastasio Band.
