Burlington, Vermont’s CHIN HO! began when founding members and lifelong friends Dave Morency and Andrew Smith at freshman orientation at Johnson State College.

Throughout the 90s, the band called upon Vermont, New York City, and Boston’s most talented musicians to become a local music juggernaut, releasing seven albums and EPs, played a thousand shows across the country with such diverse artists as Jewel, Counting Crows, Adrian Belew, The Samples, The Stranglers, and The Tragically Hip. Their music was featured in various Hollywood films and television shows including Dawson’s Creek and MTV’s The Real World. In 2022 the band released its entire catalog, as well as a rarities and live album on all streaming platforms.

The band that Seven Days called Burlington’s “indie rock royalty” and Boston’s The Noise magazine deemed “not bad for Vermont, I suppose” but put on their cover the following year will celebrate their 33 ⅓ reunion alongside The Maple Run Band and Danny and the Parts.
