Burlington, Vermont-based metalcore act Voices in Vain pride themselves on being a difficult band to pin down to one genre or style. Formed in 2015, they’ve been all over the country touring and building up a name for themselves.
Voices in Vain are gearing up for the release of their sophomore album, The Only Love I Know, which was produced and engineered by Greg Thomas (END/Misery Signals) at Silver Bullet Studios in Burlington, CT. The album’s diverse sounds are united by the darkness, finding unique combinations like blending black metal with hardcore. With groove-laden riffs and haunting melodies, this is a metalcore experience that’s completely original.
Recently, they debuted the music video for their latest single, “Control/Erase.” Characterized by loud, abrasive screaming that comes right out of the gate with unbridled energy, Voices in Vain find a way to make chaos that seems to mean something. The video is darkly terrifying with its flashing lights that give you just the briefest glimpses of horrific imagery. This is truly unfiltered, unapologetic metalcore.
